Emmanuel College is a Catholic, co-educational, multi-campus secondary college. The College is situated in Warrnambool, located at the end of the Great Ocean Road in Victoria's Western District.
Emmanuel College is a Catholic school in the Mercy tradition, governed by Mercy Education, a ministry of the Sisters of Mercy of Australia and Papua New Guinea. The existence of the Mercy Education Network of 13 member schools and 16 affiliate schools gives strength, support and solidarity to each of the individual schools. We are stronger together.
Inspired by the vision of Catherine McAuley, a Mercy school fosters the values of: Service, Hospitality, Justice, Compassion, Respect and Courage. We hold the care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people as a central and fundamental responsibility of our school.
In the tradition of the Sisters of Mercy and Edmund Rice Education Australia, Emmanuel has been educating students since 1872. Our mission is to encourage our students to develop to their full potential and make a positive contribution to their community.
Emmanuel College is one of the Western District’s leading schools and a vibrant, creative, learning community.
The Emmanuel College Vision is to build a dynamic learning community, bringing to life the gospels values of Faith, Hope and Love and continue the traditions of Catherine McAuley and Edmund Rice.
In line with its Guiding Principles the College employs staff who are progressive, innovative and principled life-long learners who value the privilege of shaping the learning of young people.
As a workplace the College offers the opportunity to be part of a real community where staff members work cooperatively and support each other.
