The Williamsport Crosscutters are a founding member of the MLB Draft League, playing their home games at Journey Bank Ballpark at Bowman Field, one of the oldest operating ballparks in the United States.
The name "Crosscutters" reflects the logging heritage of Williamsport, once known as the "Lumber Capital of the World." The city sits on the West Branch of the Susquehanna River, and lumber barons once lived in mansions along Fourth Street, which became known as "Millionaires' Row".
Over 560 current and former Major League baseball players have played for Williamsport professional baseball teams. The alumni list includes Hall of Famers Jim Bunning, Bill Mazeroski, Jim Rice & Nolan Ryan and over 20 current Major Leaguers including Jose Bautista, Maikel Franco
& Andrew McCutchen.
The Cutters are the ONLY professional sports team in the Susquehanna Valley and appeal to fans of all ages – fun, affordable, family entertainment!
