We are an Australian, Christian university, offering a range of undergraduate, postgraduate and vocational courses in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Established in 1897 by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, we value excellence, spirituality, wellbeing, integrity and service. These core attributes are evident in our course offerings, extra-curricular activities, staff and student initiatives and our relationship with the wider community.
We offer undergraduate, postgraduate and vocational courses across arts, business, teaching, nursing, ministry and theology and outdoor leadership. We also have research centres leading the way in lifestyle and health, Christian education, scripture, spirituality and society; and teaching and learning.
Our campus locations speak to the importance of wellbeing and academic learning. Our main campus is in the picturesque city of Lake Macquarie, NSW, Australia, and our nursing-specific campus is on the grounds of one NSW’s largest private hospitals in Wahroonga, Sydney.
We are proud to be part of a worldwide educational network within the Seventh-day Adventist Church that welcomes people of any or no faith background. This learning community includes schools, universities and colleges that prepare students for lifelong learning and a worldview of service.
If you would like to continue your education in a wholistic, supporting and Christ-centred learning environment, we encourage you to be a part of the Avondale experience.
