Bushfire Volunteers is a trading name of the Association of Volunteer Bush Fire Brigades of WA Incorporated and is the peak body for the State's 560+ Volunteer Bush Fire Brigades and their 26,000 volunteers. It is also recognised as a 'prescribed association' by the Government of Western Australia.

To represent Bush Fire Brigade Volunteers and advocate for their optimum health, welfare, safety and recognition by:

•developing relationships and alliances with stakeholders
•being proactive and influential in decision making and policy development
Structure of the AVBFB
Zone representatives are elected for a two year term in alternate years. There are nine (9) zones which will contain Bush Fire Brigades located within Local Government areas in the following regions:
•Pilbara/Kimberley
•Midwest/Gascoyne
•Goldfields/Midlands
•North Metro
•South Metro
•South West
•Lower South West
•Upper Great Southern
•Lower Great Southern
