Mission Statement
Our mission is to love, equip, and empower inner-city youth to fulfill their God-given purpose. We refer to our mission statement as “LEE.”
L – Love that bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things (1 Corinthians 13:7).
Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children, and live a life of love just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Ephesians 5:1-2
E – Equip the whole person physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually.
Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.
Luke 2:52
E – Empower or fulfill their God-given purpose.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11
Carver Christian Academy's school verse:
“And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature[a] and in favor with God and man” Luke 2:52

For too long, the majority of these inner-city kids have been without the guidance and love of a parent figure, a reality that provides the foundation for the overarching message of Urban Youth Impact:
“Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me.”
Psalm 27:10
“A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows is God in His holy dwelling.”
Psalm 68:5
With a focus on these children and their families, UYI’s mission is rooted in Jesus’ words in Luke 4:18-19: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has appointed me to preach Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the downtrodden will be freed from their oppressors, and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.” Our mission also inc
