Ammonit Wind Tunnel is currently examined by DAkkS for accreditation as laboratory acc. to IEC 17025. Additionally, Ammonit Wind Tunnel applies for membership of MEASNET. Our target is to perform calibrations and classifications acc. to IEC 61400-12-1 and MEASNET. The accreditation is expected for December 2016. Our wind tunnel is designed for calibration and classification of high quality wind sensors. Aerodynamic tests of scales models can also be performed, e.g., landscape modelling. Ammonit Wind Tunnel is a company of Ammonit Measurement GmbH and WIND-consult GmbH. Both companies pool their long-term experience and knowledge of measurement instruments, classifications and calibrations in the new company. Since 1996 WIND-consult has been DAkkS-accredited laboratory for calibration of anemometers for internal use and since 2007 for anemometer calibration. However, WIND-consult has been member of the MEASNET group since 2002. Ammonit Measurement contributes more than 25 years of experience in designing wind measurement systems covering in-depths sensor know-how. The full wind tunnel operation is planned for January 2017.
