InvestigateWest is a Seattle-based nonprofit investigative newsroom keeping an eye on decision-makers in the Pacific Northwest. Founded in 2009 by reporters and editors after the Seattle Post-Intelligencer stopped publishing, our watchdog journalism has directly led to new laws, people in power stepping down and systemic change throughout our region. InvestigateWest has won more than 75 journalism awards and honors since our inception. We rely on donor support to investigate stories that spur tangible action. Our mission is to engage Pacific Northwest residents in social issues by providing compelling, change making investigative and explanatory journalism. Our vision is a society of informed residents empowered to exercise their rights and work within their communities to make the world a more just and equitable place.
