Recovery Ranch structured sober living for men is a brotherhood. Our main purpose is to help other addicts and alcoholics change their lives so that they can stay clean and sober, and become purposeful, productive members of society. We work together and hold each other accountable. Recovery Ranch guides and supports each resident to develop strong work ethics, lead with selflessness, and live in gratitude. We are actively involved in our community as well as the local fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous to establish a strong support system. Graduates of Recovery Ranch are encouraged to slowly reintegrate back to family, work, or education, where they undergo a transitional period of case management services to ensure long-term recovery. At the Ranch we no longer use our addiction as a crutch. We have full days, and live and breathe recovery in everything we do.
One of the most unique parts of the Ranch is that it is run completely by the guys in the house. As we move through the house and continue to lead with recovery, we are given opportunities for more responsibility. We hire no outside staff - we are all addicts and alcoholics living to a high standard. We have a kitchen crew who cooks every meal fresh from scratch, we clean all of our own messes, and we live as solid gentlemen so we don't have to hire outside help. We always stay very organized and lead with recovery, which is how we are able to do it all on our own. We work as a machine but we are all the same and every part of our machine is just as important as the next. Guys who have been here for a while and who are doing well get opportunities to become crew leaders and managers who get to lead the house. These opportunities give us purpose and teach us to take direction while stepping up and becoming leaders when the time comes.
