Connect Central Oregon (CCO) is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to fostering community involvement and supporting future leaders through volunteerism, mentorship, innovation, and partnerships.
Since 2004, Volunteer Connect, Volunteer Central Oregon, and Connect Central Oregon have led hundreds of projects and programs, delivering thousands of hours of volunteer service. In 2022, they merged to serve as one organization led by experienced community leaders.
Primary Programs:
Central Oregon Volunteer Connect (COVC) is our region’s prime resource for individuals and groups seeking volunteer opportunities throughout Crook, Deschutes, and Jefferson Counties, and for community organizations seeking volunteers. Through our innovative online platform, community organizations post their volunteer opportunities, facilitating connections with community members desiring to find causes close to their hearts. With the platform as a foundation, COVC also links volunteers with community organizations through service days and volunteer fairs, enhancing community involvement and support.
Central Oregon Open Programming (COOP) aims at enhancing informed civic engagement. COOP champions the principles of openness and transparency in television and online media content.
Central Oregon Programming Media Group (COOPMG) are the partners who develop and distribute content using an open-source model, encouraging public participation in content creation and editorial choices and promoting diverse voices and perspectives in programming.
