The Australasian Research Management Society (ARMS) is the professional society for research managers and administrators working throughout Australasia and Singapore.
Since its founding in 1999, the ARMS network has grown to involve more than 2800 members from universities, research agencies and institutes, medical research institutes, R&D corporations, research centres, government departments, funding bodies, industrial R&D teams, service providers, commercialisation bodies and consultancies.
ARMS has developed accreditation programs after a need was identified for support and training for research management practitioners. The Foundation Level program provides a series of training modules that cover many of the basic areas of research administration and management to provide a foundation level of knowledge. The Professional Accreditation Program is designed for mid to senior research managers who wish to enhance their leadership, management and content skills to become more effective research leaders in the rapidly evolving research and innovation sector.
