Geographic focus is concentrated primarily on Northeast US urban areas, though some past projects have been located in both ex-urban and urban areas of New England, the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, Mountain, Midwest and Southwest states. TEC's primary focus is opportunistic, "value-added" acquisitions and urban infill ground-up development. TEC's secondary focus (particularly during more severe economic downturns) is on distressed investment opportunities complemented with third-party, fee-based workout/restructuring and disposition advisory assignments, This secondary firm activity has diminished significantly during the past decade given the US economy's recovery and protracted period of (substantially tech-driven) economic expansion.
