Spectrum Ecology & Spatial is a new, dynamic environmental consultancy with the capability and experience to deliver biological assessments and monitoring, integrating conventional techniques and the latest technology to best meet the requirements of your project. We believe in developing innovative solutions through cultivating co-operative partnerships, engaging industry, and embracing technological advancements. We maintain strong ties with leading experts and experienced professionals, providing the capacity to meet the needs of larger and multidisciplinary projects and ensuring we remain at the forefront of innovations in environmental assessments.
Spectrum’s team of experienced botanists and zoologists have conducted flora, vegetation and terrestrial fauna surveys all over the state of Western Australia, including the Kimberley, Pilbara, Western Deserts, Mid-west, Geraldton Sandplains, Swan Coastal Plain, Goldfields and the south-west. The team is highly experienced in survey design and implementation, be it adhering to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guidelines or customising survey design for your project.
At Spectrum, we also specialise in optimising environmental and agricultural assessments through utilising remotely sensed data to supplement, or replace, conventional on-ground monitoring. The use of remote sensing enables coverage of larger geographical extents, access to areas in difficult terrain, acquisition of information from the visible spectrum and beyond, and provides reliable, repeatable, quantitative data, efficiently and cost-effectively. We are able to employ a variety of sensors, including multispectral, hyperspectral, thermal, and LiDAR, on the platform that is most suitable to the task.
