Linking and supporting the primary sector with science and technology providers to create economically and environmentally sensible solutions.
Operating nationally from our base in Hawke’s Bay, we work with individuals, organisations and community groups that seek positive change. Our focus is sustainable land and water management and enhanced community capacity – seeking solutions that promote sustainable triple bottom lines.
We established the Centre for Land and Water as a specialised agritech hub, housing compatible service and support organisations.
Page Bloomer Associates are proud to support LandWISE Inc, a charitable society focused on sustainable primary production. We host the LandWISE MicroFarm in Hastings, where on-farm trials and demonstrations are conducted and provide the management, conference and research services LandWISE requires.
We will assess pretty much anything! We developed the NZ codes for assessing irrigator performance, websites to analyse on-farm fertiliser spreader checks, the effectiveness of strip-tillage, and satellite based augmentation of GPS for horticulture. We've assessed surface water ponding, drainage effectiveness and cropping farm soil erosion, soil amendments, new crop varieties and tools for precision agriculture.
We just like knowing if and how well stuff works, and if it is suitable for some purpose or function. And who best to know if something works for farmers than farmers, so they are our partners, customers, advisors and collaborators: central to our work.
