The College of Social Work at the University of Tennessee provides a professional social work education program that prepares bachelors and masters students for social work practice. We offer two doctoral programs, a PhD to prepare students for research and teaching, and a DSW in advanced clinical social work practice and leadership.
The College of Social Work offers the following programs:
- The Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) Program
- The Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) Program (either online or face-to-face)
- The Online Doctor of Social Work (DSW) in Clinical Practice and Leadership Program
- The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) with a major in Social Work Program
- Certificate programs in School Social Work, Gerontology, Forensic Social Work, Trauma Treatment, and Veterinary Social Work
- Post-Master’s Certificates in Trauma Treatement, School Social Work and Veterinary Social Work
- The Children's Mental Health Services Research Center
- The Social Work Office of Research and Public Service
