Since its inception, OESL has invested over US$450 million in the acquisition refurbishment and upgrade of swamp rigs. In 2007 OES commenced its drilling rigs business by acquiring two swamp rigs namely; OES Teamwork and OES Respect. The company thereafter acquired 3 additional swamp rigs and drilling equipment to be utilized in the Niger Delta swamps. These rigs, which are wholly owned by OESL, have been converted to home use (import duty paid) and are available for deployment for work The company is the largest indigenous drilling contractor in country.
