Damian Pascuzzo began his career working with famed designer Robert Muir Graves. In 1991 he became the principal designer and partnered with Graves to form Graves & Pascuzzo. In 2006, longtime PGA Tour veteran, Steve Pate, joined with Damian to form Pascuzzo & Pate Golf Course Design.
Damian has worked on a broad range of projects from residential and resort developments to master planning and remodeling existing courses throughout North America and Asia. In 2001 he was elected President of the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA).
Steve brings his vast knowledge of golf playing strategy gained from competing on the great courses of the world for over 30 years. His professional career includes 6 PGA Tour wins and playing on 2 Ryder Cup teams.. He currently plays as a regular on the PGA Champions Tour.
In a relatively brief period, Pascuzzo & Pate has risen to the upper echelon of golf course architectural teams. The duo has cultivated a creative, unique design portfolio for an array of clients in the public and private sectors including master plans for full golf club operations and innovative Challenge Courses.
Pascuzzo & Pate recently renovated both golf courses at the famed Omni LaCosta Resort in Carlsbad, CA, recent host of the prestigious California State Amateur Championship. Other recent projects completed include the renovation of Murasaki Country Club (Japan) and The Challenge Course at Spurwing Country Club (Meridian, Idaho). Current projects include renovation at the Nemuno Sato Resort in Japan and Simi Hills Golf Club in California. The firm is actively assisting numerous courses in the United States with turf reduction and water conservation projects.
