On 8 November 2022, Renault Group signed a framework agreement with car manufacturer Geely to create a new entity by combining their powertrain activity. This joint venture’s ambition is to become the market leader for the next generation of low-emission internal combustion and hybrid powertrains. Its range of powertrains will cover more than 80% of the market’s requirements. Aramco should join the team, to bring in its expertise in synthetic fuels.
