As reflected in all aspects of our practice, Ply Architecture is committed to acts of making.
Act 1. “to ply”
ply (OED, 2017), [v.1] To bend, bow; to fold or double; to mould or shape
[v.2] To handle, or wield vigorously or diligently (and instrument, tool)
[v.4] To work away at; to attend to (with some instrument or process)
Shaping materials and space with digital fabrication tools established the origins of our practice and continues to inform the processes of making, testing and building that are at the core of our firm philosophy. As the scale and scope of our practice has expanded alongside new opportunities, we understand the transformative potential of our work as a spatial practice that ascertains experiential complexity through geometric experimentation and is disciplined by an economy of means.
