Pollite are frangibility experts and provide a full range of frangible masts and poles to support visual and non visual aids near airport runways, taxiways and aprons. All of our masts are designed specifically to comply with the latest ICAO and FAA requirements on frangibility, deflection and strength.
We are one of the largest manufacturers of fibreglass masts in Europe and we distribute to customers across the world. Our products, other than airfield masts, include signage, flagpoles, radio antenna masts and architectural features, and we have been involved with many significant projects throughout Europe, Asia, the USA and the Middle East. All of our Pollite masts are British made at our manufacturing facility in the North East of the UK.
Pollite first started to develop frangible masts in 2001, and following the release of ICAO’s Aerodrome Design Manual, Part 6 Frangibility in 2006, we immediately undertook a series of tests as specified in the manual to ensure our masts were fully compliant. Over the last 10 years our focus has been to develop a series of frangible masts principally for airfields that fulfil the specifications with simplicity and a minimal maintenance requirement. We continuously test and inspect our product and all ancillary components for the masts are sourced from the UK and tested in-house to ensure quality is maintained.
We have invested a great deal of resource into ensuring our full compliance with ICAO and FAA requirements, and we work closely with a large, globally recognised testing house that specialises in airfield products.
Our focus on working with our clients in every aspect of the design and adaptability to meet requirements has ensured our continued growth and industry-leading reputation as a leader in frangible airfield products.
