Alliance Select Foods International, Inc. (ASFII) is a public corporation under Section 17.2 of the Securities Regulation Code (SRC) and was registered in the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on September 1, 2003. ASFII is primarily engaged in the business of manufacturing, canning, importing, and exporting of food products such as marine, aquaculture, and other processed seafood. Its shares have been listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) since November 8, 2006. On July 1, 2010, the Board of Directors resolved to change the corporate name from Alliance Tuna International, Inc. to Alliance Select Foods International, Inc. The change in corporate name was then approved by the SEC on July 22, 2010. While canned tuna will continue to be an important source of growth for ASFII, the firm decided to diversify its product line and take advantage of its manufacturing expertise and global marketing channels to introduce new products. The new name reflects that change in direction. Alliance Select Foods International, Inc. exports its canned tuna to Europe, North America, Asia, Africa, and South America. It is primarily a “private label manufacturer” of canned tuna, and processes and cans tuna in the institutional and retail-pack can-sizes using its customers’ brands.Under its subsidiary Big Glory Bay Salmon and Seafood Company, it processes cold smoked and hot smoked salmon, and distributes it to various retailers in the Asia-Pacific region.
