Welcome to Wingecarribee Shire Council at Moss Vale, midway between Sydney and Canberra, in the spectacular Southern Highlands. We’re a community-focused team of more than 400 dedicated professionals, committed to achieving the very best outcomes for our shire’s three major townships, and 17 distinct villages, our spectacular natural environment, and local economy. Many of our people are locals and we are passionate about working collaboratively with the communities we serve, to deliver the projects and priorities that matter most to them, to a very high standard. Together, we’re shaping the future of our shire through community-led Place Plans - a guide for growth that will protect and enhance the character and sense of place unique to each locality, that we all value. We believe better communication is the foundation for building stronger relationships with our residents, community groups and business owners, that will equip us to collectively achieve great things for our shire. Our door is open to the input and ideas of community members and our commitment is to continually create new and inclusive ways for locals to be informed, engaged and empowered in our strategic planning and decision-making processes.
