A private English school (K-12) with three campuses in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Kells Academy is proud of its strong reputation among Montreal’s top independent schools.
Ever since its founding in 1978, Kells has prioritized the individual learning needs and special talents of its students. For support in navigating their overall program, Kells students may turn to their advisors and Learning Support Coordinators, who manage students’ learning plans and provide one-on-one support where necessary to ensure that students meet their academic goals.
The structure of the program allows all students to flourish. Teachers prioritize getting to know each student’s abilities and use the latest pedagogical techniques and technologies to adapt their lessons accordingly.
Kells also offers different levels of French instruction, from beginner to enriched, and an accelerated mathematics program which regularly earns honours in national mathematics competitions and science fairs.
Kells students graduate with the Quebec high school leaving certificate and many continue to Cegep. With the Ministry’s new French requirements, many also choose to enroll in the Kells Grade 12 program to earn the Ontario high school diploma that enables them to apply to any university in North America or overseas. Many of these graduates have won scholarships or bursaries from prestigious universities like McGill, Concordia, the University of Toronto, and the University of British Columbia.
The Kells emphasis on quality academics with superior instruction is balanced by a full sports and extracurricular program. The signature Kells “Flex” system lets students choose from weekly enrichment activities such as chess, drama, robotics, film, visual arts, digital media, and yoga.
After almost fifty years in operation, Kells Academy looks to an even brighter future. Success looks different for everyone. At Kells, you can discover what success looks like for you.
