The IHP is an institute of the Leibniz Association and conducts research and development of silicon-based systems and ultra high-frequency circuits and technologies including new materials. It develops innovative solutions for application areas such as wireless and broadband communication, security, medical technology, industry 4.0, automotive industry, and aerospace. The IHP employs approximately 330 people from more than 25 nations. Thereof, 140 are scientists.
IHP is located at Technology Park Ostbrandenburg in Frankfurt (Oder). It operates a pilot line for technological developments and the preparation of high-speed circuits, located in a 1000 m² class 1 cleanroom.
The efficiency of IHP can be seen within scientific reports and papers, presented at leading symposiums worldwide. Also the constant raise of third-party funds and the permanent raise of the number of international partners proves its capacity. Additionally the expertise of IHP staff and its modern technical infrastructure are significant for its success.
