Cross Oil Refining & Marketing, Inc. is an American oil refinery that began in 1923. It is a customer-oriented company that supplies base and specialty oils tailored to a specific customer group. The naphthenic refinery is located in Smackover, AR. Cross Oil manufactures oils with a high degree of consistency by controlling the entire supply chain—from crude oil shipment, to refining, to delivery of the final product. All products are exclusively produced at our Smackover location. After many years in the refining business Cross Oil acquired an interest in expansion that would serve as a consumer for the refinery’s base oils. As an addition to the existing refinery, Cross Packaging was built on the Arkansas grounds in 2002 where production began the same year. The plant consists of warehouse and production facilities that spans over 165,000 square feet. The production facility is comprised of eight high speed lines capable of filling various sizes; 2.6 ounce bottles to bulk tankers. Over two million gallons of bulk storage feed the packaging plant. Cross Packaging developed three brands; SynGard, Gard and Xtreme. Today, these three lines comprise a full offering of automotive and heavy duty engine oils, transmission fluids, hydraulic oils, gear oils, tractor transmission fluids, locomotive engine oils, functional fluids and industrial lubricants. Cross Packaging is wholly owned by Martin Resource management Corporation of Kilgore, Texas.
