developmentplus is a small charity based in the City of Lincoln. Our aims are to develop capacity and skills of people in such a way that they are better able to participate more fully in society. To provide opportunities that inspire and build resilience in people and their communities. Finally we aim to provide a range of responsive services for the people of Lincolnshire that will improve their wellbeing and mental health, promoting hope and sustainable personal progression.
To achieve these aims we aim to encourage and enable people to access services that improve their wellbeing, physical and mental health. To empower people to speak out and seek support about issues that affect their lives. To provide programmes of training and support to enable individuals to overcome personal barriers and improve their economic prospects. Through committed, personalised support for individual needs. Building peoples strengths through acceptance and validation and finally to develop and maintain partnerships across the County to achieve collective goals.
We incorporate all of the above into the services we deliver which include 1-1 coaching and mentoring programmes supporting ex-offender, people furthest away from the employment market and people with poor mental health who are unsure what step to take next. Many of our projects are delivered in partnership with other third sector organisations in Lincoln including Green Synergy and Abbey Access Training. We support Lincolns Neighbourhood Boards in partnership with Lincoln VCS and deliver a number of wellbeing sessions.
