The IBE Honors Program is a carefully planned integration of courses in business and engineering with additional requirements in mathematics, sciences, English, and humanities. IBE is the most selective and rigorous program at Lehigh –– students must maintain a minimum 3.25 GPA to stay in IBE. There are only around 50 students per class in IBE. Through 6 IBE specific courses including a Capstone Project, students build a high-level perspective of how business and engineering blend together.
After four years and a minimum of 137 credits, students will receive a single Bachelor of Science Degree in Integrated Business and Engineering, which meets the accreditation standards of the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). However, most IBE students pursue a dual degree in Engineering as well. For at least an additional 30 credits, IBE students can graduate with both an AACSB-accredited degree in business and an ABET-accredited degree in Engineering.
