Since its establishment in 2010 (EFTI is formerly known as the Center for Tourism Research and Development created in 1992) by tourism faculty, EFTI has been committed to excellence in research, focusing on serving tourism destinations and industries and has evolved to become a major institute for tourism research in Florida and beyond.
