Regeneration & Progress (R&P) is a nonprofit organisation supported exclusively by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) that is working to make an impact in the areas of Health, Sports and Education in Greece.
One of R&P’s landmark programmes are the “Mobile Medical Units”. An initiative undertaken by the SNF, implemented by R&P in cooperation with Health Units SA under the scientific supervision of the 1st Orthopedic Clinic of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (UoA). A Primary Health Care programme which aims at providing residents of remote and isolated areas in Greece with equal opportunities of free access to high-quality health services.
R&P’s "Sports Excellence" (SE) programme, under the scientific supervision of the 1st Orthopedic Clinic of the UoA, provides personalized metrics and input on healthful training, offering insights to help young Greek athletes compete at the highest international levels. Under the SE umbrella and in the same manner that R&P seeks to improve health outcomes through free access to medical care, it also seeks to provide opportunities for enjoyable physical activity. The “Sports Paths” programme gets kids around Greece moving—and loving it. Likewise, R&P designs and implements regular sports activities at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center in Athens. Furthermore, we run, therefore runners of all ages can and do take part in the three annual runs organized by R&P.
Simultaneously R&P, through "TraumaEdu", is the implementing organization for various educational programmes-seminars for Trauma treatment for medical students, rescuers and Operating Room Personnel. These are only a few of the programmes that R&P implements proudly.
While acting with a deep sense of responsibility the aim here at R&P is to consistently listen to the needs of society and develop programmes and actions to meet these needs. The purpose is to inspire action, to raise awareness and to contribute to society.
