Tribune Content Agency traces its beginnings to 1918, when it was formed as the Chicago Tribune Newspapers Syndicate. It has gone by other names over the years, including the Chicago Tribune-New York News Syndicate and Tribune Media Services. It became Tribune Content Agency in 2013. In 2014 it absorbed the former McClatchy-Tribune Information Services (“MCT”) news service.
