Northeast Seattle Together (NEST), founded in February 2009, serves Northeast Seattle residents who want to age confidently and safely in their homes. Founded on the emerging best practice, NEST is a “virtual village”, enriching the lives of its members through community (social and educational programs), support (rides, running, errands, simple tasks) and peace of mind (easy access to trusted vendors and organizations). There are the more than 120 similar organizations nationwide, with NEST being the first virtual village in the Seattle area.
