The Santa Fe Conservation Trust partners with our community to keep northern New Mexico’s living lands and people flourishing together. We protect culturally and environmentally significant landscapes, ignite people’s passion for nature and enable the continual regeneration of our healthy place.
SFCT has been hard at work protecting and improving your quality of life through our land conservation and trails work for 31 years. Today, SFCT has more than 45,000 acres under protection in northern New Mexico. Your financial support helps us to preserve our significant landscapes so that you and future generations can enjoy cleaner air and water, more abundant wildlife, unsurpassed recreational opportunities, beautiful scenic views and the stories of place contained in the historic artifacts on the land.
SFCT has had a hand in the development of over 75 miles of trails in and around Santa Fe. We are proud of our work with over 200 volunteers to maintain all the dirt trails in Santa Fe. And our Community Conservation Programs (Passport to Trails and Vámonos: Santa Fe Walks) have introduced literally thousands of students and hundreds of adults of all ages and abilities to Santa Fe’s amazing trail resources. As we move forward, we are committed to creating more trails and ensuring the equitable use of these recreational resources so that everyone in our community can improve their health and enjoy the benefits of nature!
