Before we became amphibians, we were human beings — consultants who spent decades working with companies of all shapes and sizes. From fortune five hundreds to growing start-ups, we helped them with organizational change, customer and employee experience design and brand strategy. We worked with healthy cultures and challenging ones. We enjoyed meaningful, productive relationships and found our way through the difficult ones. We were energized by companies ahead of the curve, and respectfully navigated through the ones clinging to old ways of work. But with every organization, team and project - we always saw sparks. Those moments when people found energy in opportunity, momentum in doing things differently and pride in creating something meaningful. Those moments made the work matter for all of us. And when the work mattered, we were all successful. Maybe we should have done it sooner, but we finally took the time to ask the simple question: Why do humans work?
