HOPE for the Homeless is the HUD CoC Collaborative Applicant for Northwest Louisiana. HOPE leads the regional efforts to end homelessness through collaboration and system design. We also serve as the front door to the homeless system by operating the Coordinated Access Point, the Homeless Drop-In Center, and the Street Outreach Team. The services are all operated out of our regional homeless one-stop, HOPE Connections. Ten other agencies provide services at this campus. HOPE manages the one-stop and the regional HMIS implementation.
The goal of everything HOPE does is to assist those experiencing homelessness to obtain and maintain housing. We believe that the only way to end homelessness is to create a strong system where agencies work together to address the needs of clients and to prioritize those who are the most vulnerable into housing first. We believe that people cannot begin to heal until they have a bed to sleep in and a door that locks.
