nacelles are an emerging architecture practice, established in 2021, based in kilbirnie, te whanganui-a-tara (wellington). we are registered architects, and an NZIA practice, offering full architectural services from initial engagement and concept design, through to construction monitoring + practical completion. our directors, huw and chris, have over 45 years of combined experience in architecture, over multiple practice areas inc. residential, retail, commercial and education, spanning new zealand, europe, and MEA regions. for us, architecture is the designed relationship between our clients and their environment. we believe that all buildings deserve to be a work of architecture, no matter their size or complexity, and should be in balance between concept and practicality. this makes good design accessible. we relish the role of constantly curious inventor and extend this query driven design mentality into our thinking, and to all aspects of the architectural process. we believe that a discussion about architecture should be free of prejudice or front-loaded with expectation, which is why we undertake no fee initial consultations. we’re always excited to meet new people who are ready to take this step, so feel free to reach out and speak to our team.
