The Levin Richmond Terminal Corporation (LRTC) operates a well-established deep water dry bulk marine terminal in Richmond, California on the San Francisco Bay. The terminal can load and discharge vessels at two berths which accommodate up to Panamax-size vessels. Vessels are loaded with portable ship-loaders and shore-side cranes. Shore-side cranes are used for discharging cargoes onto the berth for furtherance via rail or truck. A dedicated workforce of Operating Engineers Union, Local 3 makes LRTC a unique and flexible operation on the West Coast. Currently, the terminal specializes in transloading coal, petroleum coke, and scrap metal for export.
