New Ulm is a progressive town, with agriculture, industries, retail stores, progressive parochial and public schools, including a private college, and a population of nearly 14,000 people.
The City of New Ulm, in County of Brown, and State of Minnesota is a municipal corporation operating under the Home Rule Charter. The City Administration offices include the City Manager's office and the Office of the Mayor. The Mayor, as the Chief Executive officer for the City of New Ulm, conducts official mayoral business from City Hall. The daily affairs of the City of New Ulm and New Ulm Public Utilities Commission are administered through the office of the City Manager.
The New Ulm Public Utilities provides electric, water, district energy, natural gas, and wastewater service to residents and businesses in the New Ulm area. It is our continuing endeavor to serve the public as a nonprofit organization providing our customers with high quality, safe and efficient services at the lowest possible cost, while promoting conservation and responsible management of resources.
