The Ball-Chatham School District’s mission is to engage and equip all students to achieve their unique potential through broad and diverse learning experiences. Our teachers differentiate instruction to meet the needs of each student in their classrooms.
Beginning in our earliest grades, the District provides a stimulating environment rich in literacy, numeracy, science and social sciences, as well as avenues for social and emotional growth. By the time students reach the fourth grade, they are identified for inclusion in a mathematics acceleration program; and in 6th grade, students may enroll in math or language arts honors courses . Glenwood Middle School offers honors classes in mathematics, science, social studies, and language arts. Students are able to move up to accelerated classes, or down, as needed throughout the year. Glenwood High School provides 17 different honors, eight dual credit, and 15 Advanced Placement classes. In addition full-range of elective classes are offered at GIS, GMS and GHS, in areas such as family and consumer science, technology, trades, health occupations, and more.
