Stevenson was established in 1912 and has a long-standing history in the Auckland region. The values that motivated founder William Alfred Stevenson still apply today – tenacity, dedication, determination, steadfast loyalty and a strong desire to contribute to deserving causes in the community. Stevenson continues to make a significant contribution to the development of New Zealand’s infrastructure and expansion – from the early days of constructing drainage tunnels, runways, dams and building motorways, through to supplying aggregates and concrete products for major projects – in infrastructure, residential, commercial and industrial construction markets. Acquired by Fulton Hogan in 2018, today the company operates in the quarrying, mining and related sectors with quarries in Auckland, Waikato and the Western Bay of Plenty, and contract mining projects in the North and South Islands. Stevenson is careful to continue the tradition of creating a great place to work where talented people, with high standards, can achieve great things for themselves, their customers and for Stevenson. We still do business the way it used to be done, where a promise really is a promise.
