AntwerpMUN is the official student association in Antwerp, for those interested in pursuing a career in diplomacy and international relations. We offer many exclusive events and gatherings regarding these topics and support students by informing and training them. Every year, we organise an international Model United Nations Simulation, to give students the opportunity to enhance their already developed soft skills. By doing this they can turn their theoretical knowledge into practical experiences. Our MUN conference allows participants to gain valuable insight into the policies and thematic priorities of the United Nations. While engaging in realistic negotiations, young “delegates” assume the role of a foreign diplomat. In order to influence the course of negotiations, participants must develop a deeper understanding of complex political issues and be able to state those national policies in a diplomatic manner. By this means, MUN conferences provide young people with the opportunity to develop and refine both their knowledge of international politics and their professional skills. During a MUN conference, resolutions can be passed as a result of constructive and cooperative debate.
