C.O. Cyprus Opportunity Energy Public Limited is an oil and gas exploration public company that was established on February 10th, 2012 by C.O. Cyprus Opportunity Oil & Gas Exploration LTD. to participate in the 2nd Licensing Round Offshore Cyprus for deep water oil and gas exploration licenses issued by the Government of Cyprus. C.O. Cyprus Opportunity – Energy Public Company is managed by C.O. Cyprus Opportunity Oil & Gas Exploration LTD., which as of July 1st holds 85.82% of the company share capital. On May 11th 2012, C.O. Cyprus Opportunity Energy Public Limited submitted applications for two oil and gas exploration licenses. The applications were submitted in conjunction with Norwegian operator AGR Energy AS. In the Cypriot applications, Cyprus Opportunity Energy Public Limited will own 70% of the partnership and AGR will own 30%. Cyprus Opportunity Energy Public Limited will subsequently consider bringing in more partners. On November 1st 2012 the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism of the republic of Cyprus has requested the Consortium to extend the validation of the application submitted by the Consortium in 190 days, the Consortium has agreed to extend and notified the Ministry On July 17th, 2012, C.O.
