Our educational non-profit has a simple focus: We aim to save the public schools time and money by effective knowledge management. Building the statewide longitudinal data systems that are now required my law will take a concerted effort. We aim to do our part by learning from our schools systems and sharing the knowledge. They say It takes a village to raise a child. It will take a network of Professional Learning Communities to raise an educational system. It will take a little of both to raise our Virginia Longitudinal Data System. VDOEopensource.org is committed to all three.
