Pronofa is a trailblazer for new and sustainable protein sources! The company was established in 2021. Pronofa is a «spin-off» from the industrial company Denofa,which has prodused various multiple kinds of foodstuffs at Øra Industry Park in Fredrikstad since 1912. Our biologists and biotechnicians got previous experience from insect or tunicate production from «start-ups» that Pronofa has acquired, or a PhD/Master’s degree. In a short amount of time we have built a solid and professional organization to support their competence, which has allowed for a commercial investment.
