Improving philanthropy to improve the world.
The nation’s first school dedicated solely to education and research about philanthropy—voluntary action for the public good—it is at the forefront, anticipating and meeting philanthropy’s needs academically and professionally in Indiana, nationally and around the globe.
The Lilly Family School of Philanthropy prepares students, philanthropy professionals, donors, and volunteers to be thoughtful innovators and leaders who create positive and lasting change. Alumni of its programs lead national nonprofits and foundations, serve international relief organizations, and lead hands on neighborhood human services centers.
The Lilly Family School of Philanthropy builds on the strengths and synergies of its predecessor, the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University. By integrating the Center’s innovative academic, research, international, and training programs with groundbreaking resources such as The Fund Raising School, Lake Institute on Faith & Giving, and the Women’s Philanthropy Institute, the School is taking all initiatives to new and exciting levels.
We promote active discourse, curious learning, and sharing of the latest thinking in the field of philanthropy from a variety of viewpoints. We invite you to participate in this community with the civility, thoughtfulness, and candor we have come to expect from our students, alumni, and friends. Ideas shared may not reflect the opinion of the school. Hate speech, personal attacks, or other inappropriate and defamatory comments will be removed.
