Pelvic Health Solutions is an evidence-based teaching company that was founded in 2010 by Nelly Faghani and Carolyn Vandyken, out of the need to develop pelvic health resources in Canada. Since the inception of our teaching company, pelvic health physiotherapy has blossomed from a handful of physiotherapists to well over 300 therapists now rostered with the Ontario College of Physiotherapists. Our mission is to provide evidence-based, biopsychosocial resources to patients and health care practitioners for the assessment and treatment of pelvic health problems in Canada and abroad Pelvic Health concerns are far too common and rarely talked about. Many men and women suffer silently without realizing that there are effective, evidence-based treatment solutions. PHS wants to break this silence and help train medical professionals to understand and utilize these solutions. We want to help bridge the gap for patients to find a physiotherapist that has the required training to improve their quality of life. Pelvic Health Solutions is a leading provider of continuing education courses for urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic pain, pregnancy and SI joint pain within a biopsychosocial framework. All health care professionals that have internal evaluation within their scope of practice are welcome to take our courses that involve internal palpation.
