We are a community based non for profit service, who values the individual child and advocated for their needs within our care and education programs.
We believe that quality will exceed when our team have the support and resource they need, therefore each of our classrooms have either a Bachelor trained or working towards Bachelor qualifications leading each space, 10-15 hours planning per classroom per week, each classroom is rostered for individually therefore eliminating the need for family grouping at the beginning and end of the day and the constant coming and going of new and unfamiliar educators, we provide 1-2 educators above ratio depending on classroom needs as well as 2 child free paid professional development days during work hours per year.
We recognise that our team need to recharge and relax at the end of each year so we also close for 2 weeks to ensure this occurs and then provide a pack up and set up day so the environment is ready to go as the children commence their new year with us.
Families are a vital part of our community and are involved in the day to day decision making at our service through participation in our board, participation in working groups, classroom partnerships build through daily face to face communication, shared digital documentation and regular family and educator catch ups.
At HEY we consider ourselves a vital member of the local community and work in partnership with a variety of local community services to ensure we are providing authentic and meaningful support where needed.
