Glenbrook High School District 225 serves approximately 5,200 students residing in Glenview, Northbrook and portions of unincorporated Northfield Township. Known as the Glenbrooks, our schools have a reputation for being student centered with a passion for excellence.
A comprehensive high school experience focused on the areas of academics, athletics, activities and the arts is the hallmark of our schools. The rigorous curriculum in the core areas of math, science, social studies, language arts, and world languages, taught by some of the finest educators in Illinois, is supplemented with an abundance of exploratory classes in fine arts, career and technical education, and entrepreneurship.
The Glenbrooks provides students with opportunities outside the classroom to explore their interests and feel a sense of belonging through participation in clubs, activities, and athletics.
At Glenbrook North (GBN) and Glenbrook South (GBS) High Schools, our newly renovated classrooms meet the needs of all students with flexible seating that enhances collaboration while also giving the teacher the flexibility to present a full class lesson. State of the art lighting can be dimmed so that students can view a projection screen while taking notes. Students use large stationary whiteboards to work on math problems or write Chinese characters while teachers walk around the room and check their work. A cross fit gym at Glenbrook Off-Campus (GBOC) is designed to ensure that students who attend the therapeutic day school have access to quality PE equipment.
The Glenbrooks are fortunate to have strong support from our families and community that help us to meet the goals we have set out to achieve.
