Read Better Be Better's mission is to connect young readers and youth leaders to inspire a love of literacy and learning. We create change by: Improving concentration Encouraging an active enjoyment of reading Helping develop a deeper understanding of what is being read Vision: A Society in which all children master the foundational skills necessary to become independent learners Read Better Be Better is the only nonprofit organization in Arizona that engages youth leaders to help solve the state’s literacy crisis. We train 8th grade students to implement a highly structured after-school curriculum for 3rd grade students considered to be at risk of being kept behind, according to the Arizona State Literacy Plan.
