KME Architects was established in 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada, as a full service architectural firm. This diverse organization is located on the Southwest side of the valley. Partners Melvin Green, with over 30 years of professional experience and Emanuele Arguelles, with over 20 years of professional experience, embrace all aspects of sustainable design and have proven capabilities in a wide range of architectural services. These assets have enabled this firm to successfully design, within a broad scope of building types, and obtain a level of success that few small firms have achieved.
KME is a certified small business Minority Business Enterprise, (MBE) and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise, (DBE), nominated for the best small firm in Las Vegas in 2010, by the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, and selected by the City of Las Vegas to lead the Master Planning and Building Commissioning of the oldest remaining elementary school in Las Vegas, the Historic Westside School. In 2016, KME received the Mayor’s Urban Design Award for the Historic Preservation & Adaptive Reuse of the Historic Westside School from Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman. KME was recently published in the Winter 2017 edition of The National Preservation Magazine for the design of the Historic Westside School and nominated for the 2017 WRMSDC Supplier of the Year award by the MGM Resort International.
