The Urban Element is a boutique catering and event management company offering inspired culinary experiences – from private event catering to elevated grab-and-go at cultural centres across Ottawa. The Urban Element was created in 2005 by wife and husband duo, Carley and Oliver Schelck, when they opened at Ottawa’s historical Fire Station building. Although they closed the venue in 2021, The Urban Element continues to evolve as a mainstay in the region’s culinary scene, expanding its operations beyond event catering and special events.
