George Washington Academy is a fully recognized American PK-12 school in Casablanca Morocco, as stipulated in the official American-Moroccan Bilateral Agreement on American Schools in Morocco, and is accredited by the Middle States Association. GWA’s American diploma is accepted in universities worldwide including Moroccan public and private higher education schools and universities. GWA is a non-profit Association and was founded in 1994.
As of September 30, 2019, George Washington Academy is officially an IB World School, offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (DP) for 11th and 12th grade students starting in the fall of 2020.
We serve approximately 900 students from Preschool to grade 12. Our enrolment is roughly 70% Moroccan, 30% International. We are a caring community where students’ needs are a priority and where traditional Moroccan and American values are respected and encouraged to coexist. We are a learning community that strives for excellence, applies wisdom, models integrity and compassion. We prepare students for higher learning and for enriching an interdependent world.
